Fjällnäs

Just inside the Swedish border, we find a unique mountain hotel worth visiting. They have roots dating back to 1882 and have a great location with views of mountains, lakes, and plains. In the restaurant, the chef is inspired by local ingredients and the village’s rich culture and history - through all eight seasons. Here, new combinations are tested when a menu is put together. Traditional ingredients are paired with innovative accompaniments, giving classic dishes a modern twist. Chef Patrik and sommelier Christopher work closely on the food and drink menu, providing an elegant and unique overall experience.

World Champions in Wine 

In April 2024, Fjällnäs won the gold prize in “Star Wine List of the Year, Sweden” in the Best Medium-Sized List category. But that’s not all - we have a world champion - for in June 2024, they won “Best Medium-Sized Wine List in the World!” Star Wine List is the guide to the world’s best wine bars and restaurants, and Fjällnäs is the only Swedish winner in the ten categories presented by Star Wine List. “This is truly international recognition of the work done at Fjällnäs to offer guests an exceptional wine experience. Skarvruet

850 meters above sea level, right by the tree line you will find Skarvruets hotel. The rustic hotel has 36 beds with private bathrooms. In addition, they have apartments and cabins for larger groups.
