If you were to put a roof over Røros, you would have the world’s prettiest shopping centre with its surprisingly wide choice of charming shops, interesting handicraft boutiques, farm outlets and art galleries. Røros has always been a hub for culture, art and crafts in mid-Norway. Perhaps the picturesque surroundings inspire artists. The largest concentration of shops in the region is to be found at Tynset, with its variety of chain stores, niche boutiques and two shopping centres, Domus and Alti, where you can find evertything you need and a bit more. Tynset has an urban feel to it, despite being in the middle of the countryside.
