Baugsberget Fjelltopphytter

About

Baugsberget Mountain Top Cabins
Imagine watching the sunrise from the comfort of your bed, surrounded by all the beautiful sounds, scents and colours of nature! In fact, you don’t need to travel far to enjoy this unique natural experience.

Positioned at 800 masl on Baugsberget Mountain in the heart of Nord-Østerdalen and boasting fabulous views over Elvedalen, Alvdalsbygda and the surrounding hills, are three original and exclusive cabins.

Baugsberget Mountain Top Cabins combine high standards of quality and comfort and are customised to enhance your experience of nature. The rich cultural landscape and untouched countryside ensure a varied and dynamic backdrop to this exclusive experience, with its focus on peace and recreation.

Your bed will be ready made up with fresh linen (as will the duvets and pillows for the sofa bed) and the cabin will be spick and span. You don’t need to think about cleaning before you leave, either.  You have only to relax as you enjoy the countryside and the company.

Granstua:
Nestling among the spruce trees and blueberry heather is Granstua.  Find peace in the loveliness of the view, looking south down the river valley, across fields and into the mountains.

Huge windows beside the double bed give you the feeling that you are sleeping in the open. Waken to the sun kissing your pillow, almost as if nature has joined you in bed.

The high-quality sofa bed is easily set up, so that the cabin can sleep up to four people.

Fjellstua
Fjellstua cabin is perched on a natural mountain ledge and has a particularly fine vista northwards across the river valley, together with a panoramic view of the village.

When you waken, you can enjoy the fantastic north view of the river valley from your very bed. Meanwhile, the panorama view of Alvdal village is as atmospheric by night as by day.

The wooden cabin contains bunks where both the upper and lower beds sleep two people. Each bunk has its own window so that the view and the sunrise can be appreciated from the cosy comfort of your duvet.

Toppstua
Crowning a summit of its own and surrounded by heather and pine forest, lies Toppstua.

Breathe in the clear mountain air and inhale the fine view across hamlets, mountain cabins and summer pasture dairy farms. This is the place to lean back and observe forest life happening before your eyes from the crack of dawn until the sun sets in the west.

The high-quality sofa bed is easy to set up and creates space in the cabin for four people.
