About

Snekkarlemmen cultural barn is an old drying barn that has been converted into seasonal cultural events, preferably concerts, contemporary dance and theatre. The room can also be rented for exhibitions of various kinds. In 2020, the site received support from Tolga municipality and Tolga Os Sparebank and the site was considerably rebuilt and restored.

The barn is also rented out for confirmations, weddings, anniversaries etc. for those who want a slightly different experience, simple and a bit rough.

Since opening in 2017, the venue has hosted theatre, concerts, contemporary dance, hook evenings, film screenings, etc.

Every 3rd weekend in February, the place acts as a shuttle station for load drivers and horses on their way to Rørosmartnan - then the barn is filled with horses and the guest house with the mushers for one night and is an event on Tolga and in Gata. Atmospheric and intense experience.

On the 2nd Saturday in September each year, Tolga Local Food Day is held here in Gata. Then many yards are filled with market tents with delicious local food of all kinds - people come from far and wide and go home with lots of goodies in their bags. This is also an atmospheric and experience-rich event every year here at Tolga. For more information about our cultural events hava a look at Facebook
