Os municipality

Os is the most northerly municipality in the county of Hedmark.

The Hummelfjell mountain in Os has child-friendly alpine skiing pistes, and along the Femunden lake there are rich opportunities for hiking, fishing and berry-picking.

The villages of Narjordet, Narbuvoll and Tufsingdalen offer sights of natural and cultural historical interest.

The valleys of Kjurrudalen and Vangrøftdalen, near Dalsbygda – the home village of Therese Johaug, have some 50 “setre” (summer dairy farms) in operation. Tours to the top of Forollhogna (1322 m.o.h.) give a marvellous view over the area.
