Hire a kick sled, put on your mountain skis and follow the tracks of the wild reindeer, be a lone nomad in North Østerdalen or take a guide who knows the terrain well and who can take care of safety, campfires and meals, all under the open sky. The Sami Experience allows you a glimpse into Sami language, history and modern-day reindeer husbandry, and the day ends with a delicious meal in a traditional koia, sitting on warm reindeer skins around the central open fireplace. Coffee cooked over a fire tastes just as good indoors or out.
