About

We’ll take you on an exciting walk through ancient hunting history, where you’ll experience a reconstructed trapping system. Here, you can see and hear how the pitfall traps worked when they were in use.

If you have the time and interest, we also offer guided tours through an old Viking Age hunting system, where you’ll see what the animal pits look like after centuries of decay. These traces bear witness to intense activity hundreds of years ago.

We are happy to serve traditional food from Rendalen as part of a day filled with cultural history. We especially recommend trying food prepared in a traditional earth oven.
