"Kraggbua": Treetop Cabin

About

Welcome to Eywa's Trails – Authentic Wilderness Experiences in Engerdal

At Eywa's Trails, we offer unique experiences close to nature. In addition to dog sledding, we offer a very special overnight stay: Kraggbua, a cozy and rustic treehouse suspended 7 meters above the ground, deep in the Engerdal forest. This is the perfect place to unwind, find peace, and reconnect with nature – whether you're traveling alone, as a couple, or with your family.

The cabin is thoughtfully built with comfort and sustainability in mind. It is insulated, has a wood stove for heating, solar panels for lighting, and gas for cooking. There are no disturbances here – only birdsong, swaying trees, and the crackling of a campfire.

Winter Adventures with Dog Sledding
From November to April, we offer dog sledding tours ranging from one hour to six days. You’ll take an active role: harness your own team, prepare the dogs, and drive your own sled – or ride along if you prefer. To drive your own sled, you must be 12 years or older.

Meet Our Alaskan Huskies
We have 35 happy and social Alaskan Huskies – energetic, cuddly, and always ready for adventure. A visit to the kennel is an experience in itself. You'll meet the dogs, see the training areas, and feel their incredible energy. Prepare to be showered with husky love!

Summer Activity: Husky Cart Rides
In summer, we offer rides where the dogs pull a specially designed cart. This is a fun and unique way to experience the power and joy of sled dogs – perfect for both kids and adults.

About Us
Eywa's Trails was founded in Switzerland in 2009 and relocated to Norway in 2018.
Olivia Milan, founder and owner, has been dog sledding since 2004 and has participated in long-distance races in Norway. Together with her partner, Sjur Åsgård – the all-rounder – and two skilled guides, we take pride in offering you a safe, educational, and unforgettable nature experience.

We are passionate about caring for our guests, our dogs, the local community, and nature. We want to share our love for the region and inspire sustainable travel and low-impact exploration.
