Stor-Elvdal Hotell

About

Stor-Elvdal Hotel is a hotel complex in an attractive rural setting, right in the centre of Koppang, just 350 meters from the railway station, on the Røros Line (Rørosbane). Koppang is situated 220 km from Oslo and 130 km from Røros on the fylkesvei (county road) 30, a short detour from the riksvei (national highway) 3. A warm, friendly welcome and an inspiring stay await you here.

In the hotel grounds, the main building and two log cabins together provide 19 double rooms. From 2021 we can, in addition, offer our guests 7 top modern hotel flats containing a total of 16 double rooms in a new building, ‘The Østerdalen Visitor Centre’, immediately next door.

We do all that we can to ensure our guests will enjoy a memorable experience with friendly service in a unique atmosphere. Culinary tradition is important to us too, so our delicious homemade food is based as far as possible on local raw ingredients, and we keep a good selection of drinks in the bar. We are proud to be able to boast our very own Aquavit brand, ‘Storelgen Aquavit’, produced by the Norwegian Distillery in Grimstad.

We offer guided tours and talks on the hotel’s extensive and exciting art collection, which dates from the 1700s to the present day. For more information, please visit our website.

We wish you a warm welcome to a friendly and inspiring stay here with us!
