Sign up for the Local Food Safari in the Mining Town by booking directly through the online booking page or by contacting Visit Røros and Østerdalen. The tour starts in the park at Nilsenhjørnet, by the statues of the miner and his wife, where your guide will take you on a culinary journey through the historic streets of Røros. The outdoor walking tour lasts approximately one hour, so please make sure to wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather conditions.
During the tour, the guide will serve two local tasting samples before leading you indoors for a locally produced lunch, including a non-alcoholic local beverage. The guide will introduce and explain the dishes being served, after which you can relax and enjoy your meal and the atmosphere at your own pace.
The tour will be conducted in both English and Norwegian if there is a mix of Norwegian and international participants.
