It is no surprise that camping in Østerdalen is a popular choice for both locals and visitors, with its great scenery and good options for a good camping experience.
Here you will give you an overview of some of the best campsites in the area.

From Os in the north to Stor-Elvdal in the south
Koppang Camping and Cabin Rental is one of the most popular destinations for camping in Østerdalen. Situated on the banks of the Glomma, this campsite offers a diverse range of accommodation options, including cabins and spacious pitches for tents and campers. Koppang Camping is also ideal for fishing enthusiasts, with good opportunities for fishing in the river.

Campsites in Tynset are also worth considering. Tynset Camping is one of the most famous campsites in the area. It offers a range of facilities to ensure a comfortable stay, including playgrounds, sanitary facilities and easy access to walking and cycling routes.

Outside Alvdal you will find Langodden Gård.Langodden farm is located by Glåma 10 km south of Alvdal center. The farm is typical of the district, with dairy production and forestry.

The rental cabins and campsite have close ties to the farm. This is how you are part of daily life with us. Thus, you have the best starting point for experiencing a true farm environment in Østerdal traditions, as well as hiking-friendly forest and mountain regions.

Most of the cottages are restored log houses that have been in use on the farm. Campsite with power outlet for 6 wagons / tents. There is plenty of outdoor space. In the storehouse from approx. 1850 there is a farm museum.
